Description Science has documented the power of the mind-body connection. Symptoms arise from the interaction of biological, social, and psychological factors, and effective treatment must address all of these realms. In therapy, I guide and teach clients, building upon their inherent strengths, and work to discover conditioned beliefs and reactions which underlie anxiety. My work is practically-focused, on the here and now, and focuses on development of coping skills. I help clients change irrational thinking and beliefs, build new connections in brain and body, and reprogram their brains and bodies to move beyond anxiety. I look at the whole person: diet, exercise, medications, health problems, beliefs, family background, spirituality, support system.
Anxiety does not have to control your life! You can learn new skills to not only cope with, but move beyond, the patterns of anxiety. I have been working with clients plagued by anxiety for over twenty-five years, and regularly update my skills and training so that I have new tools to teach clients.
