Description The Center for Anxiety Disorders in Burlington, Vermont, was founded by psychologist Paul Foxman, Ph.D., author of several books including Dancing with Fear, The Worried Child and the co-authored book, Conquering Panic and Anxiety Disorders. We are a group private practice with 10 psychotherapists and a psychiatrist associated with Dr. Foxman and we specialize in anxiety, depression, stress and relationships. Our practice also has a therapist training component that enables us to provide discounted fees for clients with limited financial resources. We are accessible to the greater New England region.
Treatment Modalities:
We individualize treatment for each client, drawing from a variety of approaches including insight-oriented therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy and mind-body skills for anxiety management. Group therapy for social anxiety is an option. We also offer self-help programs for skills practice between therapy sessions. We serve adults, adolescents, children, families and couples affected by anxiety and other issues. Our child specialists use creative play therapy approaches including sand-tray and art.
Insurance Accepted:
We have contracts with virtually all health insurance companies licensed in Vermont (Blue Cross/Blue Shield, CIGNA, MVP, United Behavioral Health, CBA, ValueOptions, Connecticut General, Medicaid, Medicare, etc.)
Fee Schedule:: Our customary therapy fee is $140/session and we offer discounted fees for clients with limited funds or no health insurance.
