Anxiety always has a cause. Beneath the bio-chemical reasons for anxiety usually lie the emotional and mental roots of it. It is possible to access that part of yourself that can shine light on the contributing causes of anxiety, and therefore relieve it.
At times, it's about facing stress in a different way. Sometimes it's due to an outdated subconscious 'mind program' or belief that is no longer true for you, coupled with repressed emotions from past events or circumstances that never had the opportunity to be expressed, and therefore remain 'stuck' in the body/mind system.
In any case, we'll treat the anxiety as if it were a small child tugging at you, trying to get your attention. When you inquire directly into the anxiety in a focused manner, you'll tend to find the keys to release it, as well as experience the peace that underlies the fear. I use hypnosis because it is an effective tool in creating a state of relaxed, focused attention. With hypnotherapy, you'll discover that the same mind that creates and holds anxiety also has the power to free it.
For over 10 years, my passion has been to help people access their own inner wisdom which can resolve their issues. My background is in Marriage & Family Therapy, but in session I apply a multitude of hypnotherapy and stress-reduction techniques according to the client's needs. Sessions are two hours, and results are typically felt after the first session, and more fully after 2 or 3 sessions.

Treatment Modalities: For intense anxiety, panic or PTSD, I use the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), an acupressure tapping technique that the client self-applies. It is a powerful tool in uncovering and releasing the emotional charge and mental roots of anxiety, usually with noticeable results in one session. I also use hypnotherapy to help you explore and release the emotional roots of anxiety. With a background in Marriage & Family Therapy, I help you examine how events and circumstances in the early formative years can often lay the framework for subconscious, fear-based mind programs or repressed emotional energy that greatly affects anxiety. We also examine how nutrition, the fuel you put into your body, can either contribute to anxiety or help sustain a balanced, calm feeling.
Insurance Accepted: I accept cash or check only. Sorry, I don't bill insurance.
Fee Schedule:: Cost per session is $125. Sessions last 2 hours, sometimes a bit longer.
