Description Do you feel that your days are simply a race to the finish line? Juggling the many demands placed upon us, we often focus more on getting through our day, than enjoying it. Stress from any source - relationships, family/parenting, occupational or financial, can have a devastating effect on both our physical and emotional wellbeing. Because we concentrate more on what happened in our past, yesterday, and our expectations of the future, tomorrow, we fail to recognize the possibilities for happiness and joy that exist TODAY.
In my over 15 years of clinical practice, I have come to describe the process of counseling as similar to creating a road map. Serving as your guide, an experienced therapist assists you in identifying your goals (your destination), recognizing obstacles that you may continue to face and helping you to remain motivated that you are heading in the right direction. Most importantly, counseling should provide you with the tools to achieve your goals, strategies that you clearly understand and can implement to create the life you desire and deserve. I welcome the opportunity to help you in your quest for a better life.
Make your dream of a brighter tomorrow a reality...today.
I am proud to announce my participation as a therapist on season two of "Obsessed" the groundbreaking documentary airing on A & E Television Network June 2010. The show chronicles the lives of individuals suffering from the crippling effects of severe anxiety disorders such as OCD, phobias, panic attacks and hoarding, as they persevere through 15 weeks of intensive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My hope is to reach the millions of Americans struggling with OCD and severe anxiety to illustrate the power that CBT therapy can have in transforming their lives. Treatment Modalities: I strongly believe in tailoring treatment to meet each person's specific needs. While I have received advanced training in a variety of therapeutic approaches,I favor a solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral approach directed at changing maladaptive thoughts and behaviors. I feel that counseling should be time limited, with my client's goals clearly identified. I welcome the opportunity to assist you in your quest for happiness.
Insurance Accepted: I will gladly contact your insurance provider to determine your benefits and coverage and file claims on your behalf.
