Description Are you ready to learn how to manage your anxiety instead of allowing the anxiety to manage you? Would you like to move past your fear toward greater freedom? As a Licensed Professional Counselor with 20 years of experience in the fields of mental health and wellness, I am equipped to guide those with anxiety toward healing and renewal. Many of the Anxiety Disorders tend to occur with other Disorders, such as Depression and Eating Disorders. I have years of experience providing effective interventions for these sorts of symptoms as well. Most clients start a counseling process with a desire to learn specific steps or methods that can help them reach their goals for a fuller sense of peace and confidence. Accordingly, I invite each client to join me in collaborating on a plan for treatment that will blend research-based strategies with the client's unique strengths. Another important aspect of the counseling process will be building rapport and mutual respect, as these are also key in contributing to success.
In addition to my State License, I bring two other Credentials to my work that are of great value:
1. Certified Cognitive Behavior Therapist: Research repeatedly shows that Cognitive Behavior Therapy is often highly effective in treating Anxiety Dirorders and other co-occuring Disorders.
2. Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor: For clients who are interested, I integrate Biblical principles and prayer into the counseling process. Many people appreciate growing in faith as essential to their recovery. I will also gladly confer with a client's pastor or parish nurse, by client request.
I work with children aged 7 and up, female adolescents, and adults of all ages in individual and family sessions.
I am employed at Anne Huebner & Associates, LLC, a small outpatient mental health clinic located in Brookfield near the intersection of North Ave. and Calhoun Rd. Our expert and congenial staff is available to provide consultation, additional assessment, and a full range of services for families should additional resources be needed over the course of your therapy.
Your health insurance benfits will likely cover all or part of your counseling sessions.
